The inaugural Big League Weekend saw more than 75,000 fans come to the Alamodome; each game holding the largest crowd to ever watch a baseball game in San Antonio, TX.This year, the Texas Rangers would take on the Houston Astros for the ultimate showdown. How could we use Twitter to both engage existing fans, drive ticket sales and increase a valuable email database?

At DMS the Sales and Marketing Teams came up with a Sweepstakes that gave fans the chance to win 2 VIP tickets worth $2,000. JCM Studio then designed an interactive landing Page and App where fans could come tweet why #BigLeagueWeekend was awesome, entering their info into our database and the contest. The App included a live stream of every tweet with that hashtag so fans could interact in real time. JCM Studio also designed the supporting integrated digital campaign that got fans to our landing page for a chance to win.

The Campaign delivered extraordinary media reach across Television, multiple emails, targeted online display banners, paid search and social activity gaining thousands of entrants and creating more buzz for the event.
